    Built Texas-compliant from day one

    The 1836 Wellness clinical structure

Texas has one of the strictest corporate-practice-of-medicine doctrines in the country. That means a non-physician can't directly own or operate a medical practice. We don't cut corners on this. It's how patient care stays safe and how compliance stays clean.

The 1836 family of entities is structured so your records stay with the clinical entity, your protocols are built by the licensed clinicians, and non-clinical operations (technology, scheduling, billing) sit cleanly outside the clinical walls.

Practically, that means when you become a member of 1836 Wellness, you're a patient of the clinical entity, your records are protected under HIPAA, and your protocols are designed and overseen by Texas-licensed clinicians, not a software algorithm and not a marketing brand. The technology and the brand support the care. They don't replace it.
